  • Every Wednesday at 19:00 we hit the road! Meet us at the Marathonbeeld (next to the Erasmus Bridge) for our weekly social ride.

We post about our ride every Monday on our Instagram. Here you can find all the information you need about the ride.

We also have a groupschat on WhatsApp that you can join for information about our rides. But we only add people after they have participated on a ride.

  • Just starting cycling? You’ve come to the right place! We are the perfect group to discover cycling. Our rides are totally beginner friendly.

Our goal is to provide a safe space for new cyclist and to show them how fun cyling is!

  • We cruise along at 24-28 km/h. It’s a good speed—not too fast, not too slow. Most newcomers (and beginners) can keep up just fine. If your fitness level is generally fine, you’ll have no problem riding with us.

We do recommend joining with a sporty bike. Riding with us on a city isn't do-able.

  • We recommend participating on a sporty bike. But which bike this is is entirely up to you!

We mostly ride with an average speed of 24-28 km/h. So it’s all about the power in your legs.

The diversity of our group makes every ride unique and enjoyable. Our riders typically roll with:

    • Road bikes

    • Gravel bikes

    • Single-speed bikes

    • Mountain bikes

    • Fixed-gear bikes

To keep everyone safe we don't allow fat bikes, motorbikes or regular city bikes.

    • Wearing a helmet is a must for everyone!

    • Remember to always stay behind the captain and follow the hand signals. If you’re not familiar with the signals, just ask someone in the group—we're more than happy to show you!

    • Be sure to pass the hand signals back to the riders behind you. It's a team effort to keep everyone safe!

    • While chatting with your neighbor, keep an eye on the road. The captain can’t see what’s happening in the back. If anything goes wrong just yell or ask for help. We'll stop right away.

    • If you're having trouble keeping up with the speed, let us know. We want to be considerate of everyone in the group during our rides so we'll slow down if someone can't keep up.

We want everyone to enjoy the ride!

  • Every week, we have a captain leading the way! 🚴‍♂️ Most of the time this will be Ilayda and/or Sterre.

The captain is responsible for planning the route and cycling in the front. Make sure you follow the captain and stick to the route. Especially if you don't have a navigation device with you. We always share the route in advance, so you can already orientate or upload it to your phone or GPS-device.

If you have any suggestions or (route) ideas, feel free to reach out to us before the ride starts so we can make adjustments. Let's make every ride together!

  • The most important things to bring to our rides is a bike and a helmet. Safety is our top priority, that's why wearing a helmet is mandatory. It's also important to equip your bike with lights for when it starts to getting dark early.

If you show up without a helmet, we'll kindly ask you to skip the ride and join us for the next ride with a helmet. No hard feelings but safety first!

Also, it’s always a good idea to carry an extra inner tube with you. Don't worry if you get a flat—we've got your back! We're all about helping each other out and waiting for each other during our rides.

  • Yes, definitely! We have a whole collection with routes that we share with our community.

If you have a suggestion for a route just send us a GPX-file or a Komoot link through Instagram and we will use it during one of our rides.

We also have a groupschat on WhatsApp that you can join. But we only add people after they have participated in a ride.

  • On the day of the ride we share the route on Instagram and in our WhatsApp groupchat.

The route is always made in Komoot.

Want to join our groupschat on WhatsApp? After joining one of our rides we can add you in person.

  • Nope, all you have to do is just show up on time on Wednesday at 19:00 near the Marathonbeeld.

    No strings attached ;)

  • Do you have a question that's not covered in one of our answers?
